Control receiver for lightning detection systems
The gateway was specially developed by COPTR® thunderstorm warning systems for switching on and off electromechanical systems when there is a risk of thunderstorms. The fully automatic thunderstorm warning and all-clear according to DIN IEC 62793 controls a potential-free contact, which can function both as an opener and as a closer and thus triggers a switch-on or switch-off to protect against lightning and surge damage in a timely and legally secure manner.
The COPTR® Gateway receives live coordinate data from actually measured lightning strikes in the vicinity of the system with the highest accuracy and forwards this data immediately as a control signal to an internal switching contact. The data is made available by the “BLIDS” lightning detection system from Siemens AG. In fact and without a prognosis.
The thunderstorm warning is carried out in accordance with DIN IEC 62793.
